Beyond Survival is a reflective framework for navigating the space that can emerge after survival—when functioning is no longer the only goal, and questions of identity, meaning, purpose, possibility, and contribution begin to surface.
Created by Natalie Harris and informed by lived and professional experience, Beyond Survival explores what happens when the roles, identities, and ways of coping that once helped us survive no longer fully fit who we are becoming.
Through guided video reflections, Beyond Survival invites participants to explore themes including identity beyond the role, compassion without depletion, different kinds of help, curiosity, discernment, grief for the former self, contribution after survival, and the possibility of moving forward without needing to return to who we once were.
This is not a prescriptive program or a step-by-step formula for healing. It is an invitation to become curious.
Who am I now?
What still fits—and what doesn't?
What have I learned?
What might be possible from here?
Beyond Survival can be experienced individually or explored through facilitated Well conversations, organizational programming, education, workshops, and research initiatives. Its potential applications include first responder communities, healthcare, peer support, workforce and role transition, professional education, and other environments where people may find themselves asking what comes after survival.
Opportunities are available for research partnerships and evaluated pilot projects, organizational and community licensing, educational and curriculum integration, facilitated Well conversations, workshops and presentations, keynote speaking, Train-the-Trainer and steward-led implementation, and collaborative program development.
Organizations, educators, researchers, clinicians, and community leaders interested in Beyond Survival are invited to contact Natalie Harris to discuss research, licensing, pilot projects, speaking engagements, educational applications, and collaborative opportunities.
Because sometimes the next stage isn't about getting back to who you were. It's about discovering who you are becoming.
Survival is not the end of the story.
